916th Support Brigade Prepares For Joint Forcible Entry (JFE)
United States Army Soldiers with the 916th Support Brigade, 2nd Transportation Company, worked through the night loading and hauling armored fighting vehicles to Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake in Ridgecrest, Calif., Tuesday, July 28.
The convoy included 22 Heavy Equipment Transporters, which hauled M1126 Stryker's belonging to the 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division out of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., who are here for Decisive Action Rotation 15-08-5.
The operation was in support of Joint Forcible Entry (JFE), a major exercise scheduled from Aug. 5-6, 2015. The operation will be at the Army's National Training Center on Fort Irwin, California, honing the U.S. Armed Forces' abilities to project decisive combat power globally. This joint-training exercise, dubbed "Dragon Spear," focuses on the interoperability, interdependence, and integration of conventional and Special Operations Forces in a complex, dynamic combat scenario. This joint exercise includes more than 1,500 fighting forces from: The United States Army Special Operations Command, Joint Special Operations Command, XVIII Airborne Corps, and the U.S. Air Force.
